  • Hello GMC! Welcome to my new singing lesson! Today we’ll continue doing the connexion between our voice and our mind and between our voice and our guitar using the Lydian mode. This mode is one of the favourite of many modern rock guitar players like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, etc. So I think that you’ll find it very familiar but if you don’t recognize it’s even better! Let’s add a new scale sound to our mind.

The Lydian mode is a major scale with the fourth augmented or sharp. The backing track of this lesson is in A Lydian tonality and has been inspired in Joe Satriani’s song called Summer Song.
In the main video I did an improvisation to introduce you to the sound of this mode and in the next videos we’ll work sing the scale.

    Good luck!

    Luciana.
