  • Hi guys, another cool lesson for seven stringers today. Under the spotlight Diatonic seventh arpeggios.

This Lesson Will Improve: Seven Strings Mastery - Arpeggio Knowledge.

Diatonic 7th Arpeggios on Seven Strings - C major
    -------------------------------------------------

The study presents, all seven 7th-arpeggios in sequences from C major scale. The aim of this exercise it to master and play them flawlessly, and incorporate them in our soloing/improvisation.

    Theory Focus
    ------------

Harmonizing any major scale, give us always the same sequences of arpeggios:

    I - Maj7

    II - min7

    III - min7

    IV - Maj7

    V - 7 (dominant 7)

    VI - min7

    VII - min7/b5 (half-diminished)

This says to us that actually we have to learn only four shapes, the Maj7, min7,7 and m7/b5, that's why I've only included four diagram.

Today exercise shows them in C major, but I encourage you to transpose them in all 12 .

    Pro Tips
    --------

If you wanna take a step further in the arpeggio world, try to star each arpeggio in the beginning, in the middle and finally randomly.

    See you next lesson.
