I was requested to do a new lesson focused on Power Metal Rhythm, so I will show you some common things in this awesome and fast style!

In this lesson Gabriel Leopardi is going to talk about metal rhythm guitar and guitar arrangement. You will find three parts in this lesson: The intro/verse, the bridge and the chorus of the song.

This time I'll show you a cool solo I composed 5 years ago, for a power metal band where I played called Elendil.

Some basic skills to be able to touch upon the style power metal. We'll use some techniques as Alternate picking, Vibrato, Slides and Palm muting in this lesson.

A power metal rhythm lesson inspired in the style of Angra, Stratovarius, Rhapsody of Fire and Sonata Arctica. When I finished the guitar work I recorded some orchestra arrangements based in a style created by the band Rhapsody of Fire called "Hollywood Metal".

In this lesson we will use speedpicking licks to create a speed riff. If you ever listened to any power-metal bands you probably wondered how do they come up with their riffs and speedriffing is a good example of that. When you finish playing this riff you'll notice that all we did was combining simple powerchords with scales. Sounds interesting? Get on it!

100% alternate picking and all you have to watch for is rhythm and palm muting. There are a couple of slow backing tracks in case you're new to galloping so you can star off slowly.
