9 Doro Pesch, being one of my favorite all time singers, delivers a massive dose of beauty with this album, Far from anything close to a guitar album, It still is an awesome piece. The orchestra flows effortlessly with the songs, This new take on Doro/ Warlock classics is a welcome addition to her discography, and the cover of "Breaking The Law" is just phenomenal!

Guitars

7 Like i said not a guitar album at all, but there are a few spots where there is a solo acoustic guitar, like in the song "Let Love Rain On Me", there is a very nice Slide solo. There are a few other parts but you wont be buying this album for the guitar work, the focus here is the orchestra and Doro herself.

Orchestra

10 The Classic Night Orchestra is beautifully structured into this album, In place of the wailing guitars is the screaming violins, the thudding bass is held up by the brass section and the cello's....Just great. On songs like Love Me In Black, the subtlety strikes the perfect emotion....Right into your heart, The over bearing Melancholy of "Love Me In Black" is captured perfectly by the opening violins, and continues in its Crescendo into the powerful chorus when the strings all kick in, Its a beautiful aspect of the album, Really strikes you on a personal level. Even the drums do a great job with keeping a nice steady beat and giving something to just move to.

Vocals

10 Ahhh, Doro Pesch, An incredible singer, the original Metal Godess delivers a heartfelt performance from the deepest reaches of her Metal Heart. From the melodic vibratos and phrasing of "I Rule The Ruins", "Metal Tango", and "Burn It Up", to the soft, seductive, almost lullaby like ballads of "Fur Immer", "Let Love Rain On Me", and my absolute favorite from her, the epically beautiful "Love Me In Black". Her voice is a wonderful instrument, And I think for some of you, You will be able to connect with it like i do, On a very deep and personal level. No matter what she sings, its like she singing to me, Consoling me in my troubles. Recently, we all know, Jeff Healy died, That combined with some things in my personal life, i was feeling down, So i popped this album in, and i felt so much better, Doro is a true healer!

8 Vivid, and at times, very personal. I've grown to really like her style a lot, The way she sings and emphasizes certain words, syllables, and sentences really bring the music to life!

9 An incredibly beautiful atmospheric album with an unbelievable orchestra, an even better singer, and just incredible soundscapes. This is the kind of album that you listen to in a dark room, and just let all your worries melt away, Unique musical experience I think many will enjoy
