When the Flying V or V-factor was invented in the late fifties and used by players like Lonnie mack and Albert King. When it was first realeased it seemed a bit extreme and it didn't sell very well. It was discontinued. Later in the sixties it was reissued.

The Les Paul Robot is the latest model from Gibson. It uses revolutionair techniques in the tuning meganism, The guitar can tune itself.

To tune the guitar, you only have to do is to pull of the master control knob (MCK) and you strum the guitar. They tuning penns will start moving, and when all the lights on the MCK are green, the guitar is in tune, then the lights will turn blue, you can just put the MCK back and there you go! It's possible to turn the MCK in diffrent directions, which will cause diffrent tunings. The MCK can also help with puting on a new string, or checking your bridge height for good intonation.

Robot
