There are many intermediate/advanced lessons at GMC, but we sure needed more "absolute beginner" lessons.
Instructor Bear Rose (former member Machogriz) is the author of a new Lesson Series called Beginners Corner. Along with Andrew Cockburn's First Steps series this shall help all members which are completely new to the world of guitar.
These lessons will focus on open and barre chords, which are basic to play rhythm guitar on most songs
