Hi all! Welcome to my Ballad & Blues lesson in the style of Gary Moore. I know that there were many great lessons in this style on GMC, but I couldn't stop to make one.
Gary Moore is the one of my favourite guitarists. His playing is very emotional, full of great vibrato and beautiful melodies - just amazing!
Lesson is set up in 2 parts:
First (ballad) part, time signature is 4/4,
Second (blues) part, time signature is 6/8
I used mostly A minor scale with some blue notes in second part.
chord progression in
-ballad part:
Am, Dm/B, E, Am(Am/G), Fmaj7, Dm/B, E, Am
Am, Dm/B, E, Am(Am/G), D/F#, G, E, Am
Dm7, Dm7/G, Cmaj7, D/F#
Fmaj7, G
-blues part:
Am,------Fmaj7, E7#9, E7b9
We are going to use:
- vibrato,
- alternate picking,
- Gary Moore style licks
This is the preset I used for the POD XT live for this lesson:

Cab: 4x12 1978 Brit Celest T-75s
Com: Threshold 10 - Gain 12
Dly: Delay Time - 60 (8th note) - Mix 30%
Rev: Medium Hall - 45%
