Ztevie: what guitar is it you use in the lesson? Looks awesome And the sound you got is pretty darn good as well Thanks Audiopaal... Well, that guitar is a handbuilt custom by some guys in Poland, Rek Guitars. In the video it appears almost black which it isn't, you can check it out at their homepage for real colors and some more in depth photos: http://rekguitars.com/english.php?site=dir&nr=7 About tone, I only use Pod XT straight into the PC, I don't mess around with tone very much, now I just use some patches I downloaded. I'm not 100% happy with the tone, but I will tweak tone to perfection( ) some day soon... -------------------- Gear: * Vigier Shawn Lane Master, Bridge Bareknuckle Nailbomb, Middle DiMarzio FS-1, Neck Bareknuckle Cold Sweat * Padalka Custom Space-6, Bareknuckle Juggernaut set * Ztevie's Blue, Custom Handbuilt by Rek Guitars, Seymour Duncan Full Shred humbucker set * Yamaha LLX6 Acoustic * Fractal Audio Axe FX II XL+ |

I'm not 100% happy with the tone, but I will tweak tone to perfection( ) some day soon... Nice, looks awesome on they're website too Looks like they have a few great guitars built there! Thanks for the link Ok, sounds good enough though, I liked your tone anyway INteresting you should say that - for the next competition we are going to do the exact opposite and make the voting even more prominent, but there is a good reason for it - you'll have to wait and see Keeping secrets are we? Grrrrr... Well, I sent my specification to many luthiers, who I had checked up before... In Sweden, Finland, USA and other west european countries the price I got was between $4000-$6500... In Poland (who do have many skilled luthiers) it ranged between $1500-$2800... I paid somewhere around $2000. I know however Polish luthiers are more expensive now... There's a reason they don't have prices, they only make guitars excactly according to your specs, they don't have certain models, and everyone wants different specs which leads to a big variety of prices.. But they do have a pricelist, where you can se basic price depending on different things. THis was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, or so I thought, I'm constantly have GAS for a new custom built, but I'll keep the money in the bank for some time to come.. I have terrible gas for a Music Man Petrucci now though! That's not a bad price at all, something to think about.. Although I want a Music Man Petrucci too |
