32gb Iphone 7 Significantly Slower Than More Expensive Versions, Tests Show |

in yet another questionable move by Apple (for the half doze of so Apple users here @ GMC) it now looks like the new iphone 7 32gb model is SIGNIFCANTLY slower than the more expesive 64gb and 128gn models. As if to punish folks for buy in to the low end of iphone scale. To make matters worse, there is no 16 gb version at att all, and the Intel based versions (iPhone Plus) are also quite slower. So unless you buy the two top teir, top priced versions of the iphone, expect it to feel a bit sluggish and in some cases slower than the iphone 6s!!!
Worse yet, there is currently not good way to charge your iphone 7 and listen with standard headphones. If you want to charge and listen, you have to get a pair of bluttooth ear buds or pay $149 for Apple Bluetooth ear buds. These are not even connected with a wire at this point leaving you to keep track of three items, the phone and both earphones which are separate units. Apple stock has been sideways to down since Steve Jobs died. As a result they have switched to a "Profit Max" Model. Thus the fastest iphones are the priciest ones and they really are hoping you buy the pricey headphones built to work specifically with the iphone and still allow you to charge your phone. The last nail in the coffin in battery life. The new high end models have some of the worst battery perforamnce we've seen in new models. About 14 hours which is worse than the iphone6s. So not even a full 24 hour charge. All around expensive a bit lame IMHO. I tried an android phone once and really missed the iphone. Now the top end android phone is exploding/burning up and they wont let them on air planes.  Not a great choice here, kind of like the election. I'm going to keep my 6s until a better contender at a similar price point arrives. I just got a Samsung S7 Edge and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it's the Note that is catching fire. I've been using mine a fair bit today and it didn't get any hotter than my Sony Z3 Compact did.
To be fair though, I do use my phone mainly as a phone, txt and email machine with some web browsing during work breaks so I'm not pushing it hard.

BAD NEWS:
S7 Edge Phones are Catching Fire. Expect a RecallSadly, the EDGE series is not immune to the problem and reports of them catching fire are coming in. I'd expect a recall shortly. This article talks about it and gives several other options. wow that sucks!!
I don't care about iphones, but i've been using my beloved ipad 3 for 4 over years now, and it's awesome. I hope they are not doing these shady tricks on new ipads... -------------------- Guitars:
