Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.

Govan is such a positive person. Maybe that's the trick....to be a great player you need to be a great personality first ?smile.gif

1+, for the better or worse, regardless of your chosen path. I think personality and mentality are one of the main keys.

Guthrie is slowly turning into the Dumbledore of guitar.

Something that always strikes me with Guthrie, is that he describes his 'practicing' years as something he just had to do because he loved music so much. He never played with the intent to make a living as a guitarist - he did it because he enjoyed it so much.

To me there are valuable conclusions to draw from this, about how we should structure our playing/practicing sessions.

Yeah and Lee picked up on it straight away when Guthrie was saying he got his homework out of the way and then he rubbed his hands like someone that has something very special and enjoyable to do. That one action spoke a million words. He is truly a special person. ph34r.gif
