I was searching for a backing track, and found this site - www.guitarbackingtrack.com It is completely free to download and you don't need to sign up for an account or anything! It doesn't have every song written, but has a very good list!

Nice! That's a good one too! I checked out Cliffs of Dover...I like how they have the intro solo included. I guess they figured nobody but EJ could play it anyway! tongue.gif

There used to be another really cool site for backing tracks but I think they closed it. Steve Vai took them to court (his lawyers) because they had awesome backing tracks for his tunes and he was about to release some Book with all the tabs and original backing tracks from his tunes (Naked songs or something like that).
I will try to find the site and pass you on the link smile.gif

You're referring to www.guitarbt.com and they just removed Steve Vai's tracks, but the rest are still there. You can read about the court order on the home page. There's also an interesting discussion regarding the topic - how Steve Vai is going a bit overboard - the music industry is getting very greedy these days - the same reason why Tabs are in being removed as well on many sites - for fear of taking away profits from record companies. My personal feeling is within 10 years the big record companies will be long gone, or at least small players(who needs them anymore when artists can avoid them and keep creativity, and still get their music out there).

There is a pinned topic in the uploads board as well that has a few links to sites with backing tracks. Hope it's helpful.
