Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.

He's selling ProtonMail, which is nice but impractical. It depends on everyone giving up their current email system simultaneously, which is not going to happen smile.gif. On the other hand, PGP works fine (i.e. GPGMail) and is far more practical. Contrary to his implication, it's rather simple.

Agree with Todd. Our privace is gone for years now. We simply need to be carefull what we send though a digital connections smile.gif Usually our information is a trash for anykind of "observators"...unless they have marketing purposes. From the other side...I start to like google profiled adverisments. No more woman shampoo banners on the sites I like biggrin.gif Sometiems they even really capture what I am looking for. I even think If we could stop being annonympous on social media, we would renew the sense of good behavior between people smile.gif

Yes, there's more information on the internet about all of us than there used to be. But even today there is a lot of personal private information about each of us that is not readily available on the internet. Yen's point is: don't make the situation worse by putting private details about yourself in unencrypted email. If you do, then you have only yourself to blame for your loss of privacy smile.gif. If you're sending email that contains any kind of private information, do yourself a favor and encrypt it.

Well put wink.gif If you put info out there about yourself in unencrypted emails, or via social media, whatever, then it's only one's self that is to blame. Younger folks today seem to think they can "erase" silly things they put out there on the web. Only to find later that, if it's out there, it's eternal. It's been cached and copied, somewhere. There is no getting rid of it. So be careful what you post. You really never know who will be seeing your social media for example. Employers, future significant others, etc.

Keep private things to yourself and encrypt emails if they contain sensitive personal info. Always a good idea smile.gif

Todd
