Hi all,

Just though I'd share this, a new version of Pod Farm is available supporting 64 bit DAWs. This is great news as it should now work with reaper! smile.gif

I'm going to try it out later smile.gif

From Line6:

POD Farm is the new plug-in software platform that enables POD® tone in virtually any Digital Audio Workstation software. This update delivers 64-bit support and is Mac® AU/RTAS/VST and Windows® RTAS/VST compatible for seamless integration with Pro Tools®, GarageBand®, Logic®, Cakewalk®/Sonar®, Ableton® Live, REAPER, and more.

Didn't it work for you? It worked for me with REAPER, but I gues that's because I have 32bits.

I mean the plug-in, not the standalone pod farm app.

Did the plug-in work for you in reaper? I didn't even try in the past as I read at line6 forums that it didn't.

You could get POD farm to work with a work around but I think enough Reaper users put pressure on line 6 to finally support it properly which is great, just updating now smile.gif

Thanks for the nudge

Just to be clear, or possibly unclear, the issue was I believe that Reaper uses a 64 bit sound engine internally, regardless of whether or not it is running on 32 bit or 64 bit windows, and Pod Farm didn't work with that for some reason. If they have fixed it, Pod Farm should in theory now work with the 32 bit version of Reaper!, and perhaps the 64 bit version as well (I am using 32 bit reaper even though I have 64 bit Vista because none of my plugins have 64 bit support!)

Cool news though Fran, I have it working with the workaround Smells mentioned but will be cool to get it working properly, thansk for letting us know!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Couldn't explain it any better. I knew my system was 32 bit and reaper was 64 bit, and that the plug-in couldn't handle it for some reason, but I got lost in translation with so many bits laugh.gif
