Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Excellent job, great timing and great picking. It all came out very good. Biggest issue you have is bending/vibrato. Bending should be done with more strength, should be faster, and you should bend & release note in the same time, and precise go into the correct pitch. Vibrato shouldn't be so shallow, it should be a bit wider and more even.

Welcome to the REC !

I think your rhythm is good.. Ivan correctly pointed out that your vibrato needs some work to make your playing sound more expressive and less one dimensional.

The pitch of the bending is generally very good.. you're quite accurate at those so imagine if you added some sexy vibrato to those bends... wink.gif

Good work !

Hey mate! Good job!! You have to adjust a bit some techniques like vibrato, bending, and those fast trills in the style of Dave Murray. Concentrate on those things and you'll be ready to play in Iron Maiden. biggrin.gif

Timing is great! and the notes are all correct and accurate,

The tone needs to improve a little bit, it can be thicker, and maybe the way you record could help, try record your guitar directly to the computer so that it sounds fuller and clearer,

Work on the descending legato run as well, it needs to be pulled a bit harder, so that every note sounds even, you can still here some notes dampening

Technique wise is almost 100%, I'd say that vibratos need to be a little slower, because when you play them that fast they sound nervous, a little slower make them feel a bit more pro,

Congrats on your first take mate!! biggrin.gif your timing is very good but articulation is a matter on which you should focus more! The roundness of your playing should be improved - wider vibrato, bending and as Daniel said, the tone should be fatter - it kinda has too many highs out of what I'm hearing.

Great the first shoot ! Of course, there is space for technical refinement, such as bending and vibrato, but these are things that you'll solve with ease with a continuous exercise !
