This has been on my 'long' list for a long time.
A Martin D-35. I really wanted something from the late 60s or early 70s but alas, the prices are way out of reach for me. This one's about 7 years old ...

Martins are unique in that they are not necessarily 'easy' guitars to play. Especially the trad models. The necks are big, the scale is longer (25.4 like a Telecaster) and the tops are stiffer. That all results in a bit brighter sound with a lot of volume and great bass response. Consequently, they kinda 'bite back'. Don't get me wrong, it plays beautifully, is amazingly in tune and has a great tone but I am a lot 'slower' on it for now. It also hasn't been played for a few years and it needs to open up and breath a bit. *This was not priced high. Less than half of a new one and many times less than a good, vintage D35. Nice! Having one in a collection is always a good thing. I sold my accoustic and classical for some reason, now I need new ones.
