Hi Everyone,

I got an email asking me to check out this site - specifically this forum. Looks like you all are into some pretty cool stuff.

I play a lot of different guitars and stuff so I thought I would start things off with a couple pictures I took for my friends at Quinnamp.

Here are a few great Gibson guitars and a Gibson Goldtone that is really a cool, under rated map. The pedals are the Quinn Fuzz Petal and the Quinn Hot Buttered Scotch.

Anyway, it's nice to be here and to check out this site. Thank you to the folks at GMC for inviting me.

Here is the guitar/map combination I have been playing around the house lately. Well, if you minus the HBS, as I like to play this clean. It's a 1957 Gretsch 6120 and a 1949 Fender Deluxe amplifier.

Thanks! It's a classic finish. This one is starting to fade a lot so I keep it in the case instead of out even though I play it a lot. Under the pickguard/poker chip you can really start to tell.

Still a really classic and great sounding/playing guitar.

WOW - that Gretsch and Fender look amazing together, I can only imagine how beautiful that clean sound is!?
Even tough I play mostly bass, I have one hollow body guitar around. Enjoy picking it up as much as just looking at it smile.gif

It is a Squier made one with duncan designed pickups. I actually have no idea what is the exact model number of it.
I was wondering, is there a trick to tuning these guitars? When I loosen the strings, the bridge can move freely. How does one set up intonation on such guitar?

Here is a pic of it :

Sorry for a bad angle - the guitar looks much better in person! smile.gif
Especially if you don't look at that Gretsch before it hehehhe

Yeah, I actually got Bronson to sign it for me. I went to a dinner I knew he was going to be at. He was a really down to Earth and warm guy in person but even though he was very old you still got the feeling he could kick your ass.

Bogdan - cool Squier! I remember when those were out back in the mid 90s!

Here is another combination I have been using a lot.

It's a Fender Broadcaster (which is an older Telecaster), Vibrolux Reverb amp and a Roland Space Echo which I got from a guy who hadn't used it since the 80s. If you all have never seen a Space Echo I can make a video, as it's pretty neat.

This is a great clean sounding rig and is super fun to play.
