Any D&D Players in here at all, Or anyone who use to play? And if so, what version are you currently playing? Me and some friends started a new campaign some weeks ago and Its goin pretty cool for us, Although I rolled 3 for initiative twice and got stabbed by a dark elf with boils on his face 4 times, 1 of which was critical hit.

But, I got some nice equipment goin for me, a Flaming Masterwork Scimitar, Master Work Scimitar, Another spare Scimitar I throw, a spiked chain, locked gauntlet, spiked gauntlet, and Dagger of frozen touch, and a couple bottles of acid to chuck at things that breathe.

Anyway, I wanted to see how nerdy some people in here might be smile.gif

I used to play it some years ago. We played 3.5 and 3. Somehow we stopped playing because we couldnt find time to play together. We also tried other gamesystems, because i didnt like D&D so much, i ended up with making my own system, wich is still under construction, mostly because of the guitar and studying.

Pretty sure they are not talking about MMORPG. wink.gif
D&D is a board RPG game...

I played D&D about 10 years ago. But can't really find a GM around here.

I played RPG for years, also miniature wargames.. But somehow I stopped and lost contact with anyone playing RPG's... I often miss those times. But I never was a huge fan of D&D. I liked Forgotten Realms world, although it is one of the cheesiest out there, but Warhammer or Vampire Masquerade always were more interesting for me.

I don't have to much tips I am afraid Young Guitarist. I would try to visit some clubs where more experienced players meet, because it is hard to describe what makes a good player/dungeon master. Other than that, try to search the internet for free journeys(hmm forgot the right word, but I hope You know what I mean). When I started playing, I used some prepared by other people journeys and it gave good results. Best dungeon masters for me are the ones that know how to improvise, they think of only the frames/main plot of the game, but rest is improvised. It is great to see how players are thinking of different ways of solving a mystery, and it also gives Your imagination such a boost, that You can think of something even better:P

Ahhhhh D&D smile.gif

I haven't played in years. A group of my friends and I use to play when we were in junior high which was what... 20 yrs ago, man I feel old now LOL!!! Although I think I had just as much fun creating characters as I did actually doing campaigns. I think I still have the books around here somewhere...

Man, AD&D is tough. I think to be a level 10 fighter you need some freak number of experience points, like, 700,000 or something. Thats insane.

I'm playing 3.5 right now, Im a human rogue, and its goin good. We are playing a custom campaign one of my friends made, and he did a great job, Also one of the goriest campaigns I've played, We had one encounter in a dungeon where we killed like 70 hob goblins laugh.gif

I was INCREDIBLY skeptical. I hated everything I heard about it. I was prepared to turn my back on it for good.

But I tried it.

And it rules.
