I consider myself a fan of this show. I've loved previous versions with Guthrie, Johnston and many others. Gilbert is a very nice guy who always transmits passion and love for music.

Even if you don't enjoy shred guitar but love rock music, you'll enjoy this nice interview.

and for those players that like Gilbert style and want to polish their technique, check out this alternate picking exercises: Crossing Strings

Just finished watching as you posted!
One thing I love about Paul is the fact that he is 50 but speaks about music as a 17old who just figure how to do that awesome lick!
That's at least the impression I have on him tongue.gif

Yeah! That's what I could feel while watching this video. He still plays those classic licks or riffs and looks like a teenager playing them for the first time. I love that energy.

There are few guitarists, like Paul Gilbert, Tommy Emmanuel or even the late BB King that play the guitar in much different way but share and transmit their happiness and passion for the instrument like nobody else.

I didn't know how Tommy is when talking but his playing is definitely outstanding. Is there any cool video lesson or interview that you remember?
