Is it possible for GMC staff please publish saved video chats for the members that live on the other side of the world? This can be done at a later date or end of each month. Thoughts? -------------------- "If the need is deep, you WILL find a way , if it isn't, you'll find some excuse"

This seems like a good idea, if it's possible, of course

Interesting indeed. Library of chats could be useful for members, specially if they are structured in some sense. This could enable people who missed one chat to catch up.

It is quite a good idea as I've often thought about people living in time zones that are drastically different to the chats. Only downsides I can see from the staff's point of view is maybe having to watch through videos and quality control them a little bit before publishing them.. and the viewer wouldn't be able to see the chat box so won't know what the instructor is always replying to.. Aside from that though, I think it's a great idea. Agreed. There will always be downsides. It can't compare to attending the chat in realtime. And there should be downsides too in my opinion, coz otherwise noone would make an effort to attend the chat in realtime. So I don't see any issue in delaying publishing these chats at the end of month for people who missed it. Students won't get 100% value out of it but maybe only 20%. But it's something rather than it being a wasted resource. Good question This should be posted in the SUGGESTION BOX though so that our Mr. Dahl can see it and respond. He takes great care to respond to suggestions about improving the experience here on GMC. I always save my Video Chat lessons (when using broadcaster we can save and tag them) so most of mine are ready and waiting Would make a great library item. Todd, I think 'suggestions' go under 'practice room' on the new forum structure. Good to hear bout your chats being tagged. That is one less thing to worry about when publishing them. Would be good to hear from Kris on this though. Hey guys, thanks a lot for a suggestion!
I'm wondering - which time in your own time zone (please let me know your locations) would be most suitable for you guys on the other side of the world? We'd like to schedule some video chat sessions specially having in mind this time difference! On a side note - to attend a video chat session anonymously : one can do that as a "Guest" by logging out of GMC and then entering the video chat room. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

I think this is a pretty good idea. It is not even close to the same as sitting in for the lessons. I know because I live about 5hrs off from London time and I've sat in for a few lessons when I can. I'm not concerned because there may be a job opening for a shift that would end about 2pm which it would curb my life a bit since I would be starting at 3:30am. But I will improve my playing since it will open me up for more chats and I really would like that. I would like to push myself past a novice into something that I can sit back and create my own world of music for my personal pleasure and to just play with some friends.
But to add with what everyone is talking about. I think a good example to me would be say for instance Todd. He has a well structured board with what the lesson plan for the day and some back tracks. Have something like Lesson #98 (Show a brief video of whats covered with a slow lick then one at base speed). After that the lesson plan typed out as he always does with the back tracks and such to help progress even more. That would help break down a session from an hour to say 5-10 minutes. It would also be a good way to look back and say ok, I was at the chat and I was a bit lost on such and such example. Do a quick scan and find that spot and re-watch it so you may get that moment where you go "Oh! That's what I'm doing wrong". -------------------- Guitars:
