ABSOLUTELY true and important. Many people tend to practice sitting, after all it is comfortable to sit at home and play a bit guitar, but when they have to pay a gig they can't sit of course, and suddenly everything feels different because something that they got used to changed.

I agree, practicing standing is very useful specially for live shows where there is no sitting comfortably on the bed or a chair. Up there on the stage it is a completely different thing.

Very good advice. I also suggest to think a little about strap lenght: be cool vs. be comfortable

This is very important..Many make mistake of practicing only sitting and when they stand up they get lost..Practice both positions, also you will need the standing stamina for stage too...Last thing, I would suggest adjusting the strap when sitting that way the guitar stays in the same position when you stand up! smile.gif

Great and so very true.As I started to play guitar more and more recently ,I realize that I need to do a stand up practice,so I can get used to a standing and playing on shows(singing to).

And of course this practice advice is intended for guitar practice smile.gif I guess we all know how to sit and stand up properly...though it seems very hard from time to time smile.gif
