Don't worry these periods are normal. You should commit more time to music, listen to it, start practicing and playing the guitar again bit by bit, and listen to the great guitar legends that inspire you. This should help.

hey these past couple of months i havent really been guitar much. the fire i used to have is now gone. i have a ton of things distracting me like school, and xbox. But on the other hand I really want to play guitar. I love it when i do play. can any of you guys help me and give me inspiration Go see a band play at the local pub or restaurant. I think it's great inspiration to see what "normal" people can play and pick up some new stuff from there. To me that's more inspiring than to go see Petrucci in action, I could never manage his stuff anyway so Dream Theater is just for they joy of it, the local pub guy for inspiration. If he's any good that is -------------------- My bands homepage

It just takes time mate, don't worry. I rarely learned any song in a whole when starting. This stuff doesn't matter really, just keep on practicing and playing - that is the key. Don't think that you are not "made for it" or anything if you didn't learn any song or it is difficult to learn the modes. Learning the modes is a big obstacle, you can't tackle it in a month. Just go slowly one by one, do one per month, and take it easy.
