What a great funky piece !! Really good job! This synth bass is cool but you should bring it up a little in the mix..I'm missing the low end in this recording generally...Maybe you could record one more bass , this time real one to mix with the synth one...Something simple yet groovy...Than it would be a really awesome groove funk song

Nice use of synth mate, synths can often be heard in funk, first they used organs, and in the 80ties they sampled the beats and used pretty much everything else
