eh, I've heard that its better to stay away from the cheap Deans, so you would be better off going with the Ibanez . But, if you're willing to look into other guitars, Schecter makes a 7-string Damien model, and being the owner of a 6-string Damien, I can say you get more bang for your buck with a Damien.

Did you ever play on a 7-string guitar? If not I suggest you try one first, cause the necks are just HUGE. I only tried one once and didn't like it at all.

Marcus is right , I would suggest trying out in a store first to see if you like it...Now when I think about it, it maybe wise to pay as less as you can if you just want "to mess around with it", because you won't get a very good guitar in that price range anyway.. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

My vote to Ibanez. It is always better to get a more expensive and quality guitar. Forget new pickups, you can change them later, first you see how to stocks are doing.
