Rules
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Very good take and it's awesome to see you practicing bass again!
 You have got a cool groove going on up on "straights". When additional notes come in after 0:15, you are a bit loosing the time here and there and then again from 0:32 you find your lock with the drums again. Try to listen to the drums in the backing and lock in. Each fingered note needs to be in its spot and short. This tempo seems a bit fast for the fretting hand so it's loosing sync. I'm sure few more practice sessions should make it perfect. The tone was very nice - organic passive bass tone. You could try picking a bit harder + adding some light palm muting to make each note ring out more clearly. Great to see a Bass REC

Well done, played with good strength, and tone is OK. The problem here is about timing mostly, and fretting. Try to get used to bigger frets a bit, and play it more slowly, so you have time to fret those notes, and work on slow tempos for the galloping picking. It will be alright, just need to polish this up.

First off, NICE SHIRT!
Bass is a GREAT way to delve in to rythm, groove and to work the living crap out of your left hand. I have to agree about the palm muting being a good idea (shocker I know) as it will help to keep each note more discrete. I think you have found the groove and are on top of it most of the way through, but drifting in bits when your left hand seems to be holding you back a bit. I notice your pinky on your left hand is "shy" in your grip. This is something that happens almost naturally but I'd suggest fighting it if possible. Your pinky is friend, and if you can work that friendship up on electric Bass, the electric guitar will almost play itself. Try working on your left hand by running some familiar scales, even patterns we've done in chat that use the pink. Start a little higher up on the neck and go down the neck as your fingers get stronger. i think this is a pretty solid take man, you are playing a very simple thing but with the right attitude, i like it!
