Just download the net framework from links Ivan suggested and you should be able to install Vegas! I just finished one demanding project in it and it worked like a charm!!

A friend of mine told me that Vegas is unable to use .wmv files.. And I noticed that was the only kind of video file my webcam is able to record. Do anyone know of a good (free) video converter that can convert the files into whatever kind of videofile Vegas use?

If I remember correctly Vegas works nicely with .wmv files....I don't have any to test right now but when I choose import there is .wmv and .wma on the list of supported extensions..Also I am definitely sure Vegas is able to render .wmv files.
