hey dude are you still getting plenty gigs played? not gigs, nope :/ but lots of band practices that's pretty close I guess for what its worth! hey mate! nice to see you again here! where have you been?? Long story short - I've been rebuilding my band from the ground up and changing focus. I spent a good 4 months alone searching for and auditioning a female vocalist for my band. It's not easy finding people out of thin air!! Especially ones whose personality and talent are a match! But we finally found someone that we're enjoying. All that said, now we're learning 40 covers together so we have something to do - but our primary goal is writing originals and we've started the process. The next few months I think will be very revealing about the direction we want to take as a group. So I'm very excited about that. We have 3 voices in our band now which means we can pull off 3 way harmonies pretty well. We plan to begin recording our first E.P. once we get 2 originals and 2 covers practiced - we'll use the E.P. as our demo. I think once we figure out what genre we best fit into, we'll start making some headway. We're holding off on an official band name until then, but we're currently flying under the name Passionfly since that's what we were prior to the genre change. The last two concepts we dabbled with have been southern rock & folk / rock. Also, my guitar got stolen at our last practice!! The guitar case it was in was over 30 years old with all my memories attached!! I think I left it behind somewhere and someone else picked it up :/ So I had to buy another guitar in time for our next practice! The guys at Sweeetwater were amazing and got me a replacement inside of a week! Here it is: https://passionfly.smugmug.com/On-The-Horizon So, that, int a nutshell is where I've been. Busily rebuilding my band! How's your (bleez & Gabriel) bands going? I'll have to check up on your sites / fb posts to see what I've missed! Chris! (SirJamsalot) Helloooooooooooo. Hey Phil66! How's things?! Welcome back Nico Thanks!! -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!

that sounds pretty cool..... apart from the stolen guitar ( bummer ) Look forward to hearing what you guys come up with. Lovely looking PRS BTW. I am unfortunately consigned to the clichéd life of a bedroom guitarist perpetually trying to play things fast still laying down the occasional riff or song snippet here and there on the off chance of recording something musical in the near future. I was a bedroom guitarist for along time too - I completely get that I needed to play with others - I just decided that playing fast wasn't my bag - I wanted (and still want!) to play slower, more folk based stuff. It just suits me better. Whether you play slow or fast though, I will say that finding others to play really sets a fire under the feet to get stuff done cuz all of a sudden, others are relying on you! I'll try to remember to post any new songs we do here, but they will definitely appear on my band forum. I'm trying to document how we write the songs we write in order to engage people directly - make everyone a part of the writing experience, and hopefully get feedback. Well, that's the plan anyways Chris -------------------- The more I practice, the more I wish I had time to practice!
