I have decided to try to get into the mentoring program and get into some competitions to give me some extra encouragement. The problem is I dont have a webcam. I'm pretty broke being in college and all but I found LOGITECH QuickCam E3500 for a cheap price. Does anyone have any experience with this model? Any suggestions for a good cheap webcam? Cheaper models have a higer latency and not such good image quality which can make things difficult for the veiwer. The more you spend the better it is for the veiwer. If you have a chance the ideal thing would be to go into store, ask a guy to plug it on the PC, and try to record something in movie maker, then play it. If it does the job, buy it. I had series of cam buys resulted in unsatisfaction. What I suggest you to buy a Logitech 9000 Pro, as it is mentioned many times here, although it is a little pricey compared to your standart webcam this one does the job. Dont remember the modelname i had right now, but the specs of the E3500 is very similar. It's not dv-cam quality, but with proper lighting you can get alot of use of this cam.
