Welcome to this new Hotel Collab!
Hotel_Collab___75bpm.mp3 ( 1.35MB ) Number of downloads: 435 It's based on the super famous Hotel California verse chord progression, BUT it has some changes (it is transposed), so the chord progression goes like this: Bm – F#7 - G – D - A9 – Em – G - F#7 You can do whatever type of solo you want on top. As a guideline you can use the vocal melody on the original "Hotel California" song, in which the Bm scale is used, BOTH PENTATONIC and HARMONIC. You could start with some pentatonics and then start borrowing notes from the harmonic minor here and there. Or you can use the notes of each arpeggio according to the chord in the background. Not only you can use these scales as a guideline BUT ALSO USE THE PHRASING IN THE VOCALS as a guideline for your solo. I don't mean that you should copy it, but notice the way he makes the phrases very clear and noticeable. And you can also borrow ideas from the actual guitar solo of the song, which I find incredible! Let's set our deadline for the 26th of september/2010 Looking forward for your takes! /Daniel Participants on it so far: (Max. 15) 1. Gitarrero 2. thefireball 3. K1R 4. WeePee 5. MigeZ 6.
