You can choose between the diffrent 5 watt amps made by line6,vox or roland. All three of them should be about 50 pounds or slightly more. Those small amps are portable, battery powered and pretty loud for their size! All three of them are modeling amps so you can play any style with them and you have built in effects. Which one you choose is you preference, I took the vox because imo it has the best sound, the line6 has has most variety and the roland has the best quality.
Here they are: http://www.thomann.de/de/roland_micro_cube.htm http://www.thomann.de/de/vox_da5.htm http://www.thomann.de/de/line6_micro_spider.htm -------------------- Gear: - Jackson USA Select KV2 King V with EMG 81/85 - Gibson Les Paul Custom Arctic White with EMG 81/85 - Ibanez Rg 8527 J Custom 7-String with DiMarzio Evolution and Air Norton - Peavey 6505+ head with Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cab - Peavey Vypyr 30 Practice Amp - Dunlop Crybaby From Hell, Maxon OD808, Boss TU-2, MXR CarbonCopy, ISP Decimator, MXR Custom Audio Electronics Booster |

Microcube might be good tho Thanks This post has been edited by wakefield10: Mar 10 2008, 10:58 PM |

I also had a look the pocket pods, but I'm not entirely sure how they work. Do I just plug my speakers into it?

You can plug your speakers or just some headphones to a pod.
They are a great solution for your needs I would say -------------------- Guitars:

Do you think they have a good sound through regular speakers/headphones? It sounds really good through headphones. Regarding speakers... I guess it depends on the speakers, but it's not bad. Edit: Forgot to mention, if you decide to get an amp in the end, I also recommend Roland Microcube, I tried one at the local shop a few times and it sounds really good for such a small amp. Maybe the Vox Headphoneplugs? I think they might just fit your situation exactly: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=11110
