A fine example of what can happen if you don't warm up properly - I have bruised tendon on the side of my left hand, which really hurts when I move my fingers a lot, or even brush my hand across something.

Take care when you're playing the guitar wink.gif

How did you bruise it? Just from playing without warming up? Must have been intense!

Hope it gets better quick.

I'm guessing from stretching too far. Been practicing this lick which stretches from the 12th to the 19th fret, which isn't a huuuuge stretch, but still big enough to do some damage if you don't warm up properly. I picked up my guitar and started playing it without doing anything else first.

I hope you get better soon. I hope my thumb gets better soon, too. I broke the finger nail, but just at the tip, it went really far. Almost half-way to the finger on my picking hand. Sorry for changing the subject. Get well soon!

Aye, just goes to show that no matter what you're doing - a sports activity, or just chilling in your bedroom with a blues track; warming up is very important.
