Hi

just wondering how many of us use the guitarPro tabs that come with most of the lessons here...

I just got the program, and It makes it really easy to practice the lessons I think.

I tend to look at them to get an overview of the lesson. Mostly I'll play along to the videos though.

I always download the file on the lessons I'm on, but I only use them some times if there's something on the tablature or video that confuses me.

Good idea for a poll.

I wanted to include GP tabs in my lessons but I am unfamiliar with the software and have trouble using it.

I use it to tab songs for gmc lessons. I tried to use it's metronome to practice but it is little unprecise on my computer.

I use GP all the time as my metronom to gain speed and to work on the lessons. Mystly i use it for excercices like AP and sweeping, but i rarely use it when i am going to learn a solo

Guitar pro tabs are very useful for practicing lessons here, because you control the tempo..Also you can make loops for exercise lessons and jam along (with metronome turned on)..

Thanks for the poll - I think this is really important especially to players like myself.

I live in a very small fishing village in Newfoundland, Canada and I do not have access to high speed internet (just dial up) at home. It was some time before I signed up for this site primarily because it takes about an hour to download any of the videos. About 6 months ago, I invested in guitarpro and love it immensely. It does, however, have some problems with it like most things but it is definitely one of my better investments. That said, with guitarpro, I can just download the tabs (takes 2 minutes rather than an hour). I am particularly fond of those lesson in which the backtracks have been extensively tabbed as there are some lessons where I have spent alot more time learning the rhythm tracks than the main lesson.

The problem I do have is that sometimes I come across things I have no clue how to play (particularly fingering patterns) so I often check out the videos on my work computer where I have access to highspeed.

I am not sure how many people out there have the same problem as myself, but the ability to download the guitarpro tracts was definitely the second most important reason for joining the site (the high quality of the lessons was number one). I would not have joined the site without this ability despite the high quality of the video lessons.
