Ok... so I got tired of waiting for Ibanez to make the guitar I wanted, so I ordered the closest match (PGM301). The thing is I hate the white, and the black painted f-holes.

So here is what I'd like advice on:

1) what free computer programs are available for me to paste in a picture of the PGM301 and then try different colors, graphics, etc? in prep for...

2) stripping and painting the body, or putting on some stick on graphic - any references, web sites, product recommendations/ideas from any of you?

Thanks

1. You can try paint, it's free it comes with windows, or maybe some trial versions of photopaint.

2. I wouldn't recommend stripping paint and repainting, it's too expencive, maybe some stick on graphics, but that can be trickly, you could end up with air bubbles if you don't watch out.

What program that I use in conjunction with Photoshop sometimes is the GIMP. Just google that, and it's the closest thing that I can find to Photoshop that's free.

Thanks guys, this is exactly what I was looking for.

As to stripping and painting the body... this is no big deal for me. I have a nice home shop, and can call on a friend who is a luthier for help if needed.

The main thing was to get ideas through a simple program... I have this now... thanks again.
