Fender Rumble is a good bass combo in that range, here's the picture:
Fender Rumble 60 ~ 270$ Also if you go a bit further with your budget here's a great price/performance piece: The Eden Nemesis N15 - 399$ -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Hi everyone! I want to buy a new bass amp, 'cause i'm still playing my bass on a guitar amp...which is not so nice:( I've bought a Peavey Backstage (15W) when i just started playing electric guitar, quick after that became interested in playing bass, so i never bought a better guitar-amp... So now i'm stuck here with this amp which is not a very good one for getting a nice bass sound. Hoped you guys could get me some good advice! I want: - A bass amp - Around the $300 dollars (got to ship the thing too, so keep that in mind;)) - It's got to sound nice (at least better than the thing i've got now) - I'm interested in various styles so keep it a bit allround (muse, foo-fighters, red hot chili peppers) - I got a Richwood "Jocker Pro" RBB-130-HN - It's got to be moveable by bike - At the moment i'm playing only with friends in a not-so-large room - It's got the be black (Just 'cause a yellow amp be very ugly) Thanks in advance:) In my opinion in that price range the Fender Rumble 100 Bass Combo is a best buy.around 320$ It has 100wats and 15" inch speaker which will enable you to get all the low end growl you need. Also I played this amp in rehearsal room with live drummer and it was just enough.Very sweet sounding versatile amp. Also there is one more option for a little more money. Ampeg BA115 Bass Combo I heard all the good things about this amp and it should be a beast..(But try it out first). around 380$ Generally you want an amp with 15" speaker (or possibly 2x10 or 2x12) with a minimum of 100wats (for rehearsals) in order to have mass/power in your bass sound.
