Im thinkin about max of £250 -£300, dont no if this is enough to get a quality one that will serve me well huh.gif

Would you say this is enough?

From the prices Fran posted and your budget I'd say it worths a lot to save just a little bit more money and get a top one (POD X3 live or Boss GT 10).

I had the pod XT live before and I can mention it is very worth to pay the extra difference for the X3. The two processor thing allows for some amazing tones (like distorted + clean, near+far echo, guitar+voice and so on). And it's so good to be able to process and record also voice, bass and acoustic guitars... I have been having lots of fun tongue.gif (check my competition entry if you want to understand what I mean wink.gif )

If you go with POD X3, I highly recommend the live version instead of the other one. The extra money you pay is more than worth for all the benefits (stronger construction, fast changing patches, wah-wah, volume pedal). I am not afraid to going playing in any small gig with nothing but the POD X3 live, cables and a guitar.

Roland V88/V99 or TC Electronincs G Force/Gmajor/Nova systems are quality products. Some of them, like ROlands and Nova even have overdrive or modeling built in.

I only currently own 4 stomp boxes. I have the Boss CS-3, DS-2, SD-1 and RV-5 (but for some reason i think the RV-5 might be broken because when i plug it in the light does not turn on and ive tried a 9V battery too and connected it up to my amp and guitar and no light still or sound huh.gif its abit annoying coz that was the most expensive one i bought, over £100 sad.gif)

I also own a Behringer UO100 (i think thats the number laugh.gif ) octaver but i never really use it coz the quality of it isnt that good and only works on certain notes on the fretboard (mainly low ones).

I also have the dunlop wah pedal too - not really stomp box tho lol

Hmm maybe you could buy 2-3 more pedals to get all the major effects and make a pedalboard , instead of multieffects unit..What effects in particular are you looking for (chorus, delay, flanger,eq) ? I'm sure with your budget you could make a high quality pedalboard setup.

ohmy.gif That is amazing lol, thats the kind of thing im interested in smile.gif

All great suggestions guys i gota say that im quite stuck on which one to buy now, im sort of goin towards the Boss GT-10 or that Vox tonelab LE, seen them both in action and they are both really good.

But now im also unsure whether to get a multieffects pedal or to get a few more stomp boxes and setup a pedal board like Bogdan said.

Hey Opeth you say you just got the GT-10 is it easy to function? whats the advantages/ disadvantages of it if any? Is it worth £320

I recently had the same dilemma, which should I buy Boss or Line 6 and I m telling you cause i tried both of them.
GT 10 IF BY FAR the more superior unit for its money worth.

Hey thanks for your reply vasilis, i definately been more towards the boss gt-10 coz i've always bought boss pedals and been happy with them. I been watching some videos of the boss gt-10 in action on youtube, its definately very user friendly and aparantly you can achive the tone you want in like 20 seconds lol (gud for dummies like me smile.gif)

Well if you are going to use the setup mostly for home use , it may be better to go with a multieffects unit...It simplifies somewhat recording need etc...But in my opinion pedals are higher quality option (of course if you buy good ones) and should sound better on gigs! smile.gif

Its cool. If you want to make a tone you hit the EZ tone function and it goes step by step on how to make your tone your lookin for. Im coming from the GNX4 where it had no "GUI" interface so I find it easier to create and adjust tones on the fly.

I dont see any disadvantages with it yet. I dropped $500us on it and I think its worth it considering 5 decent stompboxes run $100 a piece.

Feel free to PM with any other questions.

Thanks again for your replies, im going to be using the multi effects pedal more for home use because i just want to experiment with more sounds and over here in the UK stompboxes are really expensive, the boss RV-5 cost me about £115 ($197ish) wen it first came out and thats only for one so in order to find the right sound for me its going to be quite expensive with stomp boxes (especially the new ones)

I gota say opeth the GUI is whats got my attention because its easier to get the tone you want and i need something like that since multi effect pedals look so complicated lol

Id recommend it to any1 who dont have a clue about multi effect pedals like me because the GUI is very user friendly.

U aint kidding organisedconfusion the price was really high especially if you buy in store but its ok i went to casino a few days ago n won £50 so i dint mind payin a bit extra lol. But hey we live in rip off britain lol
