Kinda?

Its DAMN hard.

I wouldnt sweat it. Its how its placed in the song that will determine if its too "Grinder-ish".

Comparing riffs only will find more similarities than comparing songs.

In my opinion its good to know if its close to an established tune. So you cna keep it in mind as you map out the song, tempo, feel, etc....

So take it for what its worth and RAWK!!!!!!

haha. Is this that the recording rocks or are you just shouting rocks biggrin.gif

I like it. Get it into a complete song with drums and see if it still rocks then. It is hard to do original stuff that isn't ridiculous. I shall look forward to hearing complete song smile.gif

Not much to go biggrin.gif With drop D riffing you really need heavy chugging bass to make it sound heavy. I love doing drop D + half a step down tuning.

Very well played! Maybe add bit vibrato at the ends of some licks, to have more chumming sound.

Nice riffing, the drums could be a bit louder though.
