It is a great thing that we can download an audio track of the backing. I was wondering if there were plans in the future to give us the ability to download the audio from the video lesson itself. Any ideas?

Hi Bill,

Many of us use VLC Media Player & the reason is that you can slow down the backing track w/out changing the pitch (very handy smile.gif ) Here is the link if you want to try it. Windows Media Player is nice but it can't slow down the tempo.

VLC Media Player

Did I mention it's FREE!!! smile.gif

Hi Gabriel - Yes it is possible, my tascam guitar trainer does the same. It alters the speed of the playback without any changes in the pitch.

In the vlc media player there is a menu at the top of the screen it goes" MEDIA"" AUDIO"" VIDEO". if you click on the "Audio" it will show you a drop down menu giving options. One of these is "speed" and you have the option to go faster or slower. biggrin.gif

Cheers mate

Indeed, VLC does that, but it kind of alters the quality of the sounds... sad.gif

Thanks for feedback!

Video lessons are available via online streaming 24/7 and backing tracks can be downloaded.

If you are looking for a specific tempo backing tracks - my suggestion would be to use "slow down" software for audio that is able to preserve the pitch. VLC does this as well as any DAW (recording software like Cubase).
