Hi!

Just signed up today and recon I should write a short introduction. I started playing guitar in the early 80's and around 89 - 94 that was what I did, got to a "descent" level of playing but felt already back then that I some lack in technique etc. Then I lost motivation and didn't play much until around 2006 and then I had my fist kid and time for guitar playing kinda disappeared. In 2009 I started my Youtube-channel, which was a way for me to motivate myself to pick up the guitar again and then... I had my second daughter, scarce time for guitar playing became no time very quickly.

So, last summer I spontaneously bought a Gibson SG on a sale and decided to wake up my dormant channel again, renamed it to "Fret Nut... Have Guitar!" and started doing videos, which in turn gave me room/time for more playing and practicing. Still felt I had quite some lack in technique and have been trying to focus my practice on that but even if the Internet offers lotsa help that wasn't available back in the day, I needed something more structured and here I am.

/Magnus

Hi Magnus - welcome! It's great see a fellow Swede.

Daughters can take time away from the guitar but they can also give a lot of input and inspiration wub.gif

Looking forward to tracking your progress!

Thanks for the welcome! smile.gif

Kristofer Dahl - just thought I'd mention I found GMC through Gitarrzombiens (the guitar zombies) podcast. Really liked your thoughts and ideas about practise and your sence of humour didn't hurt either... biggrin.gif

You can record your take just using your cell phone and video isn't even required. Really, any way you can record will work. Aftwards, you get a critique of your work, some suggestions and Challenge badge smile.gif
