Hey. I would go with A mixo if it resolves to a Dmaj7 chord. Probably a better fit.

By the way, A7 in this case is not a secondary dominant.
A7 is just the V of D (maj/min or maj7). A 'secondary' dominant would be (in the key of D maj) E7, F#7 or B7. -------------------- - Ken Lasaine

A 'secondary' dominant would be (in the key of D maj) E7, F#7 or B7. Basically thats the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th degrees of the D major scale, right? So what would normally be E minor, F# Minor and B Minor would become E7, F#7, or B7 if they were turned into secondary Dominants? -------------------- My Sound Cloud Profile: http://soundcloud.com/casinostrat

Thanks Ken.rest of progression was in G harmonic minor Gm Eb A7 D G7 Cm Ab D7 Sorry, had no idea you were in Gm. *Yes - simplified, a sec/dom in a major key (as long as we stay diatonic) would be those minor chords turned into dominant 7ths. -------------------- - Ken Lasaine
