Day after day I just keep falling more for the Beautiful side of music, rather than just cool distortion riffs.
So, now I'm on a quest for composing. And I won't rest until I manage write a song SO beautiful, that even the hardest and cruelest of men will break into tears as they hear the sweet melodies of Tuubsu's masterpiece! ......... So, Let's gather up some gorgeus music to study and for the sheer pleasure of listening too, beautiful music, Any music style, Any instruments(no need for guitar), no matter how old or new, a possible link to youtube or some other video site would be great ofcourse, if possible. Now it's hard to define Gorgeus music, it's a lot about opinion but I'll put couple of links for starters: Paganini's sonata opus 3 number 6 in Em, by Oh Seung Kook https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn983PBvs88 "Secret Garden", by Oh Seung Kook https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfP9xBuys0o...feature=related Connie Francis singing "I'll wait for you" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgcrg1q7iqA "Una Limosna por amor de dios", by Loana Gandrabur https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvL9xaUqZGA I wish, I wish I could remember the name of the song which I heard in a classical guitar consert some time ago, it had a very long tremolo part in it, but I don't remember composer all I do is it was something about roses, but in spanish... -------------------- Anyone can learn to play fast, like anyone can learn to type quickly. But not everyone can write a book.
- Yngwie J. Malmsteen Idols: Jason Becker (ex-Cacophony, ex-David Lee Roth, Solo) Marty Friedman (ex-Cacophony, ex-Megadeth, Solo) Niccolo Paganini (Solo) Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen....Duh!) Frederic Chopin (Solo) |

uuuhh... That Moonlight sonata is something special!
George Winston was very nice! I looked at couple of others from him and this I really liked "Rain" http://youtube.com/watch?v=Uj6VLLa29zs&feature=related All this piano reminded me of this: Chopin "Nocturne in C# minor" http://youtube.com/watch?v=YUIPN9_UOAs Edit. Oh and Johan Sebastian Bach "Air on a G-string" (Piano and Violin) http://youtube.com/watch?v=qOVwokQnV4M Gorgeus! Here are a few I think are very beautiful:
Dragonheart Theme Enya - May It Be Nearer My God to Thee - I'm not much of a church goer but this song always makes me choke up. The Dark Island - This was my Grandfathers favourite song and he use to sing this to me as a wee lass This is just an instrumental of the song but it is a beautiful version with some great shots of Scotland. There are a couple from Andrea Boccelli I wanted to add but for some reason youtube is acting screwy for me now. I'll add them later. rok This post has been edited by rokchik: Jul 15 2008, 01:45 AM |

I don't have any idea where the roses came from but, it was this here: Augustin Barrios, "Un sueno en la floresta", played by John Williams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2diDV_AR8qo This piece sounds like some paradise, with beautiful women, palm trees, warm weather and lot's of sun! One of my all time favourite pieces! Oh, and great additions guys! Two songs come into mind...
The Elderscrolls Suite, a man wo took the awesome theme of the Elderscrolls games Morrowind and Oblivion, and made a long piano medley. Just dim the lights, lean backwards, close your eyes and listen... It's so beautiful ^^ Also, it's not a "classical masterpiece", but I really wanna recommend Raintime - Finally Me. Perfection within music... My favorite song of all time! -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!
