Yesterdays night, I worked till 1 AM on creating a homemade capo with 4 pencils and few elastic band (took them from my hair biggrin.gif ) Yet I miserably failed.. if I had battery in camera, I would have film it, because my "Metal AXXE" looked like something, that Dipsy, La La and Pooh would find under christmas tree.... :-! (what a shame...)

Now to the point smile.gif

I myself am very comfortable in flat E tuning, but there is a problem, that GMC lessons are in standart sad.gif Would Capo in 1st fret help me solve this tuning issue? Or is it less comfortable to play like that? I would have use it for flamenco lessons, but I am just curious if it can be used as a re-tuner biggrin.gif

Thanks,

phoenix

Its funny, that you have answered my question, because its your Advanced Power Chords lesson, that gives me the reason:D

Rawr.. I seriously need second gutiar biggrin.gif

Playing one fret higher is maybe an advantage - it will help me transpose scales etc. next time:)

Well, having few guitars in different tuning IS pretty cool.
On the other hand,if you have just one and you're in some odd tuning comparing to regular one
than you have to do some mind work,as you said to do some transposing etc.
And I support this mind training however! smile.gif

I was recording some tunes recently and I was using whole step down tuning.
Gig was on the same day, late in the night of course.
Now,most of the tunes are easy to transpose one tone/key higher
BUT we starter with Bohemian Rhapsody laugh.gif laugh.gif

Yes.. thanks to Al, I am now also Flamenco-addict, so i will buy it anyway:)

When I came to GMC, I was 10000% pure frigging (you know the word:D ) METALHEAD... I was mostly in DROP C, DROP B tuning, playing teh riffz of devil biggrin.gif Later, I changed - from SlipKNoT (bluehh... :-!) to Symphony X and Children of Bodom... Now.. I am starting to like classical music, I am really digging blues (walliman and Ivan Milenkovic).

And tomorrow.. I will buy a capo, and play even uptuned biggrin.gif Now thats change in life smile.gif In 6 months (and 6 days at 6 in the morning biggrin.gif muhahaha *EVIL*) , I will be 18 and it will be exactly one year, I am at GMC.. so at that aniversarry (year together) I decided to write something about my progress, what I discovered etc.. smile.gif Cant wait to write it biggrin.gif

Live is strange tongue.gif But I am not complaining smile.gif

Capo, here I come smile.gif
