Hey guys & gals,

FINALLY GOT MY NEW AXE TODAY!!! biggrin.gif Ibanez Prestige RG2610E-BK......I blew all my cash on it ($1155), and can't really afford a pro set up at the moment (I didn't have time to wait for the store to set it up properly).

The action is too high for my prefs. It's got a Edge Pro bridge (one of a few locking tremolo sytems Ibanez makes). The hight at the nut looks fine to me, jut need to do a final set up on the bridge I think.

Could someone help me out with some instructions, or point me in the right directions. I've owed a guitar with a flloyd rose before, but I would like more knowledge on this type of bridge just in case there are any differences I didn't notice before I dive in.

Thanks
ps- this is just to tie me over, before I can have someone professionally do it.

Turn down the bridge with an allen wrench, but turn the same on both the screw. On the both side of the bridge, there are two little signs, just match them to the top of guitar. Then push the low E string at the first and last fret and look at the space from the string and the fret at the 8th fret. There will be a 1 or 1.5 mm in a good setup neck. If less or more, just adjust the trussroad. I hope you understand my Italianish...Bye.

Cool guitar man, congratulations! smile.gif

As for setup, I suggest you be patient and not rush it. Take it to professional and watch first how it's done.

Thanks guys, I sold 99% of my old stuff to buy it (except my tube amp). I got the action set pretty close now to how I like it. cool.gif

And WOW for staying in tune!!!, I was doing dive bombs all night (practicing them), and it was still in tune after!! ohmy.gif
1000x better than the Floyd Rose was.
