I just want to let folks know that I am still around fighting into my 6th year in my war with cancer. It's been a rough battle this spring and summer with numerous issues and I am due for some brain surgery called Gamma Knife this coming week but I continue to not give up and I remain optimistic. I enjoy seeing the great strides that students have made here. All my love and respect for the community and I ask that you would pray for me if that is something that you do. I'm really sorry that you are going through such hard times. I know how hard it is because my mom fought cancer for 12 years. She had good and very bad periods but the fact that we helped her to smile every day and make jokes about cancer, gave her the strength and determination to not give up. It's a battle of courage and endurance.

The fact that you keep a positive and optimistic thinking is what will always give you the strength to fight.
I will keep my fingers crossed for your surgery. We are all here for you.

Hey Kris! I am responding to you in general but really it's an update for everyone. I want to say that my Gamma ray procedure went extremely well and much better than I had anticipated and I am very releaved. There's just a few things that need to be ironed out before I can be released but my Dr's and I are very optimistic that I can go home today. Much respect and love to everyone and thank you greatly for your support. More details to come later, so for now, everyone stay safe. Thanks everyone! 💪😎

Hey again everyone! A few more words of update and appreciation. The recovery continues to go well, much better than expected as far as I can tell so far. Thanks again for all the support. Everything helps. 🫡.
To answer your question about music these days for me, Kris. Unfortunately, I'm not doing much playing lately. Joe Bonamassa sure helped me get through a couple of dreaded brain MRI,s though!😎
In fact, most of my gear is at my brother's house being stored because on top of everything else, we had to move out of our home of about 30 yrs. It's another unfortunate and sorted story I'm not going to go into, just move past.
What I have been doing though, is following new styles and techniques and the progress of some of the students here who have made great strides like you guys, Victor, Manu, and especially you, Monica, Your progress and dedication not only to yourself but also the community has been amazing. I appreciate and remember the story about your mother's battle with cancer as well and thank you for your words of encouragement and support. I have learned that the people who love us and take care of us through this battle actually suffer in many similar ways as well as others through the whole ordeal. It's extremely taxing on everyone close, really.
So that's about it really except for that we're beginning a new week and I am going to be getting back to some much needed physical therapy this week so that I can continue to regain strength. Rock on you guys!
