New Computer, Anybody Know A Quick Way To Export Files From My Old CPU?

Is there anyway to just use the XPS to import the files off of the old drive? Any help much appreciated as I've already taken down the old system and really don't want to hook it all back up. The way my old company used to restore data onto a new machine from a older machine was take the hard drive out - install it into a USB cage, copy over docs, favorites, pictures, music, desktop, outlook files, outlook express files onto the new Windows install. I take it one step further, I usually take the entire contents of the old machine, back it up into a 'snapshot' file that can be mounted as a virtual image and copy over what I need, when I need it, this way I don't worry about getting infected by any old virus's or spyware. http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/intro.htm Check it out ^ ^ ^ You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. Next grab your new PC, open it up, and insert your old HDD in along with the new one. When you boot up windows will assign your old HDD a new drive letter, and you can simply use it as a secondary drive !!! Your new PC will just see the drive as just that a drive with files on it.
