Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Carlos!

Welcome to GMC and congrats on your first REC take! smile.gif
Your playing is awesome! Overall, I don't have many complaints about your today's performance, but there are a few things that I want to point out.

You have some spots where your hands are not in a perfect sync. Also, you do not play all the notes perfectly clean and clear. I will give you some examples:

0:12 - the last note (C note) from the final arpeggio is rushed. Also, you should make a slide here.

0:17 - the C note from the G string is not played clearly. It has a too blurry sound.

The two strings sweeps (0:18) - I think this is the weak part of your take. You rush the end of each sequence and the last note from each arpeggio is not clearly audible (actually it is almost not played). This part requires a little more work.

Even if you have some details to fix, your take is still a good one. You get an 8 from me!

Wow this is extremely cool - congrats on your first REC.

You rock.

Your vibrato is pro level - and your general execution is top notch.

Sure you could have better note separation on some of the faster passages, but given that your tone is quite distorted you are already doing a helluva job.

There is also occasionally some noise that come from unwanted strings. Your tempo might be a tad shaky in the first few seconds - but I don't think I would have reacted on that without the count-in ( Since this lesson has no drums or pulse).

Keep up the fantastic work, this is a 9 from me.

Well played!!! You have a great vibe going in your playthrough. I can tell that you have spent time with this piece and are enjoying playing it. That's a very important part of it imho. If we try to learn things that we don't enjoy playing, it's very hard to force ourselves to practice. But if we focus on things that we really want to play, it's much better.

You start out strong on this one to be sure. About 18 seconds in during the bit where you are switching positions to different sweeps, your sense of timing seems to get a bit more loose. You tighten it back up with the scale run at the end though.

Overall I'm very impressed with your take and with your vibrato in particular. The Yngwie style of vibrato is very specific in terms of rate and depth and you do a great job of it.

Solid 8 from me!!

Todd

Hey Elchals!
