My guitar does not have a floyd rose but if it had one I would preffer to have another guitar than to change the tunning, how do u guys do it with floyd rose, i believe its very annoing , right ? What I do is quite simple actually. When I tune my low e, I tune to E with the fine tuner all the way down. when I want to drop to D, I simply crank the fine tuner back up. I really dig open C major(CGCGCE), C# standard, D standard, Drop C, Drop B, E standard and drop D. Anything lower than drop B is just too low for me, maybe if I had a better guitar or amp it'd sound good, but it just isn't happening with my current gear. I've tried open Dm and kinda liked it, but didn't really get to play with it as long as I wanted to. I just like the lower, warmer sound, and the thicker strings I get to use with them feel great in my hands. And I love the fact that I play different in every tuning.
