Hey, my band just got a gig, and it's our first other than our school battle of the bands, so basically our first REAL GIG! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Anyways, we want to play some covers along with our originals and I was wondering what you guys think we should play, and by the way, we have 2 guitarists, a singer, drummer and bass so don't suggest something with a keyboard or something like that.

Some songs we plan on playing already are
Enter Sandman-Metallica
One-Metallica
Dani California-Red Hot Chili Peppers
Looking Through the Glass-Stonesour
You Really Got Me-Van Halen

We are morely a hard rock/metal band, but feel free to post anything
We also have some basic effects and Wah at our use smile.gif

Classics would for sure be AC/DC and Black Sabbath, Paranoid always works, same with Whole Lotta Rosie or something like that. The problem on the other hand is, that many bands cover those songs, so mabye chose something not as obvious. I remember BG once played a gig where we had 3 local support bands, and ALL of them covered Seek and Destroy from Metallica, it was a bit weird.

That's what we do a lot. Think of the important big bands and rather than do the obvious that everybody plays we mix it up a bit. So say we are playing Deep Purple. We'll never do Smoke On The Water, we'd play Black Night or Space Truckin' or if we choose Thin Lizzy, rather than do Boys Are Back In Town, we'd do Cold Sweat or Thunder and Lightning smile.gif The crowd still loves it and we are happier being a bit different biggrin.gif
