Those of us of a certain age will remember Band Aid and Live Aid

They were the rock/pop music industry response to a food crisis in Ethiopia. The original BBC report was very shocking and shocked the world into action.

Band Aid and Live Aid raised lots of money and provided lots of help, this has been ongoing. This all happened 25 years ago.

You would think then that there should not be a problem now, however the World Food Programme estimates that there are even more hungry people in the world today and in Ethiopioa and Kenya war and drought meant that the situation is as bad as ever and people are starving.

I am raising this here because I know GMC is a caring community and many of you will want to help.

You can help very easily and at no cost to yourself simply by going to www.freerice.com where by answering a few simple questions you can send rice to feed hu
ngry people.

It may even help some of you for whom English is your second language improve your vocabulary.

Please everyone lets all commit to 5 min of our time and try to help.

Thanks smile.gif

Well done Jesse, the rice is paid for out of advertising revenue.
