Hi Gab

Let's not talk about collab anymore because you know my sentiment now.
I would participate again I would post a final video

What do you think of this take?
Stéphane's playing is much more supple and relaxed.
I think I will need a few years of practice before being so natural.

I don't know if this take is good or not for REC SECTION.
For me it sound good but it's not objective.
Old take VS new take.... hum.... Difficult to show a real progress mellow.gif

Also, I get a progress on Shunk Funk
I will make a video soon

Old take

Hi mate! Nice to find news from you!

That's a great lesson to work on rhythm and dynamics. I can see that you can change chords very smoothly and that you can keep the rhythm tight during the whole take.

The next step is to get more of those dynamics used by Stephane. He plays softer but manages different levels of dynamics. I would start by trying to play a bit softer that louder parts of your take, does it make sense?

Also, have you worked on Stephane's Funk Workouts?

Hi Gab

I understand what you mean. It’s a job I’m already doing.
Yes sometimes I work on funk lesson by S.Lucarelli.

I will continue in that direction, but I must admit that I will stop the lesson for a while.
I don’t think I’m gonna be able to improve that take right now.

For my part, it takes a long time to process things.
I’ll take that to the REC, and I’ll probably do another one in 2020 or 2021.

I want to focus on Shunk Funk.

Hi mate, that sounds good. If you continue working on other rhythm lessons, your playing will keep improving.

Did you try this one?

Yes, that's true! But you are doing an amazing job mate! This one is really close. Your phrasing is very fluent and the tone fits very well with the backing track.

Keep on working on dynamics and groove in order to get the most from this lesson.

Hi Gab

Thank you for feedback smile.gif
Yesterday I made a video.
With experience, I know that the more I work, the less spontaneous the take will be.

I want to submit to REC in a few days.
I would like to know what you think about this one.
I don't know if it's better.

Hi MisterM! This take would obviously pass at REC.

I'm not sure if this one is better than the previous take. The elements that can be improved here are Dynamics and Groove. Sometimes you rush a bit tempo, and the faster licks (with palm muting) could be accentuated better.

As I always say, it's good to share takes at REC to receive more feedback from instructors.

Hi Gab

Farine54, my french friend help me for create a sound with my DVMARK amp + VST Nadir + Laney impulsion.
It's not perfect, because I learn to pick string muted as Jonathan.
Some noises to correct

What do you think about tone ?

Hi MisterM!! Great job here!

Both lessons are sounding good here. I think that working on those Modal Madness patterns is a good idea for your technique. And that Jazz blues lesson is sounding better and better.

Congrats mate!
