Hi mate! I think that you will find killer ones in Thrash Metal bands like Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, as well as some progressive ones like Dream Theater, or power metal bands like Angra or Iced Earth. This are some that come to mind now:

All this album:

You have a lesson at GMC for this one: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Metall...ter-Of-Puppets/

Great selection from Gabi! Especially the Pantera tunes, at which I will add the famous Cowboys from Hell:

It is great for timing, groove and alternate picking! smile.gif

For riffing practise you say ?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm,

The guys have already mentioned some that I would suggest smile.gif

How about

Judas Priest - Nightcrawler
Judas Priest - Painkiller

Pretty much anything by Iced Earth but if you want a real challenge go for something like The Coming Curse or Travel in Stygian which will probably make your arm feel as though it's going to fall off !

Jon Schaffer is a machine, definitely one of the best rhythm guitarists of all time in the traditional realm of metal.
