For 100-200 you can't really get good monitors. I strongly advise you to reconsider and be patient for a few months and buy something more serious and more durable. It sounds like a boring advice, but it is the truth really. With 400$ you can buy some decent monitors that will last you a good 5-6 years.

Thanks Milenkovic. I'll seriously consider your advice. I may just go for some good headphones for the short term and watch the ebay for a good set of monitors.
Thanks again man! |

I'll say the same as Ivan.. cheap monitors are never any good.
I got a pair of 500$ SLX monitors which are just about right for me. Alesis is a good brand though, but i recommend looking at some of the higher models. No problem man, whatever you need we're here
Regarding headphones, if you haven't bought already - AKG K141 Studio are great for the money, I have them as monitor headphones and the sound is very flat and crispy. I'll do a review on them soon!
